Set in the picturesque “Islas de la Bahia” (Bay Islands) of Honduras, Graham’s Place is a small private cay, owned and operated by Mr. Graham Thompson and is located 1.5 miles south of the mainland of Guanaja. It is a charming resort, along beautiful sandy white beaches, and tropical foliage surrounded by the crystal clear Caribbean Sea.

A natural aquarium and a turtle crawl greets you

As you arrive at the resort the first site you will see is the all-natural aquarium that was built into the dock for your viewing pleasure. The aquarium is home to a variety of sea turtles – green, hawksbill, and loggerhead to name a few – as well as other marine life including nurse sharks, grouper, barracuda, puffer fish, lobster, conch, and much more. Over the years, the aquarium has expanded and become a better home to a large variety of marine life.

Due to the many additions, Mr. Graham has built a turtle crawl so that the turtles may nest and lay their eggs; he has already had a number turtles take advantage of this development. Once the eggs hatch they are released into the wild. This crawl is actually the first known area that the hawksbill turtles have mated and nested in captivity.

Stepping off the dock, there are stone pathways leading to either your accommodations or the bar and restaurant. Whether you are in the mood for some refreshments or just some cool breeze and great conversation, the bar and restaurant is the path to take.

Relax in our hammocks

If you are looking to simply relax and not quite ready to head to your room, take advantage of the many hammocks that have been placed around the cay for your leisure.
